The fight is on to attract business away from London. But what should banks be thinking about when deciding where to move?
Mark heads up Kreab’s Brussels-London integrated services on Brexit related issues. He joined Kreab in 2011 and alongside two other Partners has oversight of the financial services practice in Brussels. He has extensive experience advising large internationally active financial services companies on EU policy, processes and politics, with a specialisation in EU prudential/banking legislation. Prior to joining Kreab Mark spent four years in the political section of the UK permanent representation, supporting and advising the British government and officials at UKREP and HMT/HMRC on EU policy. Prior to that, he spent four years in the European Parliament in several roles, latterly as chief of staff and senior political advisor to a British MEP. In 2014 Mark was elected to the post of Vice Chair of Amcham EU’s financial services committee, a post he still holds. In that capacity he is also the committee’s representative on Amcham EU’s ad hoc Brexit taskforce.
